Our history, a natural legacy that crosses borders

Since our very beginning, every step we have taken has been key to building what we are today. Discover the most important moments of our trajectory:

1990

First steps in Chile

The project to promote the commercial use of non-exported fruit begins. Empresas Iansa starts production of juice concentrates and transforms the abundance into an opportunity.

1995

Start of operations in Ica

We started operations in Ica Peru in September of that year, where we began producing tomato paste.

1998

A commitment to freshness

We consolidate our presence in the market with the start of the fresh tomato business at the Peruvian plant.

2000

The merger

The vision of expansion and efficiency materialized with the creation of Patagoniafresh Chile S.A., a strategic merger between Empresas Iansa and Cargill.

2006

Variety

We expanded our offer by including frozen vegetables produced in Peru.

2008

New start

Jucosa S.A. becomes a stakeholder which gives rise to the birth of Patagoniafresh S.A., which consolidates economies of scale for sustainable growth.

2010

Production with purpose

We obtain the PAMA environmental certification in Peru which guarantees production processes are aligned with environmental care.

2012

Strategic growth

Empresas Iansa acquires all of Patagoniafresh, reaffirming its commitment to feed the world with the best of our land and positioning itself as a leader in the agroindustrial sector.

2016

World-class standards

We achieve the FSSC 22000 certification at the Ica plant which guarantees the highest standards of food safety and strengthens the confidence of our customers worldwide.

2018

Diversification

We inaugurated the tomato plant in Molina, Chile, where we started production of tomato paste and fruit purees. And in Ica, Peru, we added onions to our portfolio, expanding our offer to the global market.

2021

Expansion

We incorporate a second pulp-production line (formerly Pentzke), to operate fruit and tomato paste in parallel. With this, we innovate in vegetable pulps and adjust our production strategy by closing the juice plant in Molina.

2022

We climb

We increase our production capacity in tomato paste and double it to meet our customers’ growing demand.

2023

Integration

We acquire our own agricultural fields to ensure control and sustainability in our value chain.

2024

We achieved SMETA international certification, a reflection of our ethical and socially responsible practices.

2025
